Prophetic Word: The Danger of Moving Too Soon

Over the past several weeks, I have encountered several individuals dealing with schizophrenia. While walking through some of these situations, the Lord began highlighting something to me—not about the clinical condition itself, but through the imagery historically associated with its name: a “split mind.”

And I sensed the Lord showing me that this is where the enemy is attempting to attack many believers right now.

You are standing in the right place, but the enemy is trying to divide your mind concerning where you stand.

Some are exactly where God has ordained them to be.

For one, it is a season of consecration.

For another, preparation.

For another, learning.

For another, hiddenness.

For another, rest.

The problem is not necessarily your position. The battle is over the

perception of your position.

The enemy wants you to look at someone else's season and begin questioning your own:

Should I be further along?Should I be doing what they are doing?Did I miss God?Why are they moving while I am still here?

And if he can divide your mind concerning the place God assigned you, he may not have to remove you from it—you will eventually remove yourself.

Comparison will make another person's rightful season look more desirable than your own. Impatience will then tempt you to abandon a God-ordained position for a position God never ordained.

But I hear this word strongly:

KEEP STANDING.

Don't move simply because someone else is moving.

Don't graduate yourself from a season God has not finished using.

Don't leave the place of preparation because someone else has entered manifestation.

Don't interpret stillness as stagnation.

If God positioned you there, remain there until God releases you from there.

Ephesians 6:13 says:

“…and having done all, to stand.”

Sometimes faith says go.Sometimes faith says fight.Sometimes faith says possess. But sometimes the greatest demonstration of faith is simply to stand.

Stand when your emotions tell you to move.Stand when comparison tells you that you are behind.Stand when you cannot yet see what this season is producing.

You may not be stuck. You may be stationed.

So keep standing.

Do not doubt that God knows where He has placed you. Do not prematurely abandon the season that is preparing you for the next one.

The same God who positioned you is faithful to tell you when it is time to move. Until then—keep standing.

The Lord knew I needed this and sent it to me today on my sofa, right on time! HE -GOD is always on time, even as he stands outside of time.
